The cable car stops right outside, The Avenue Plaza Hotel, so it's easy to get around. The front desk personnel is AWESOME!

This Hotel, In Stature And Location, Captures The Essence of, "Why" The Garden District Of New Orleans, Is So Captivating.
Great spot for visiting New Orleans. Staff was friendly & helpful. Loved being right next to the St Charles streetcar line. Our room, which overlooked the street, was comfy & generously sized. Dropped a star due to noisy elevator running all night and TV had so few channels if you didn't have wifi streaming.
Nice little hotel/condo timeshare near the Garden District with dated but well equipt kitchen suites that include a two burner modest stove and full size fridge and comfortable beds. There's a Fresh Market 3/4 mile up St Charles that delivers groceries (or you can just walk like we did) and a higher end liquor store two doors down. Streetcar stop is across the street, nice gym with new equipment that works. Good central location away from but with easy access to all the insanity of French Quarter.
